JAN 24 - CHOOSE THE WRENCH FUNDRAISER

BENEFIT FOR LT. MIKE WELLS & FAMILY

On Thursday, January 24, we’re donating 100% of all sales from Blade & Timber Kansas City locations to support Fire Lieutenant Mike Wells and his family.

ABOUT LT. MIKE WELLS

Lt. Mike Wells is a 13-year veteran of the Lenexa Fire Department. He has three beautiful children with his wife, Katie. Mike is facing an incredibly difficult diagnosis of Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer with the help of his doctors, family, friends, and brothers and sisters at the Lenexa Fire Department. Mike’s fighting mantra “Choose the Wrench” in this chapter of his life comes from the movie Good Will Hunting and is about not giving up despite overwhelming odds. Mike is strong, but the financial burden that his family is about to face is going to make the fighting and healing process that much more difficult.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Book an axe throwing lane online at either Blade & Timber Kansas City location for Thursday, January 24, 5:00 p.m. – close. Blade & Timber will donate all sales from the evening to Mike’s fight. Can’t make it to Blade & Timber on January 24? Stop by, purchase a gift card and we’ll donate 30% of all gift card sales to Mike through Sunday, January 27. Donate directly to Mike’s fight by sending donations via PayPal or Venmo to mikewellsdonations@gmail.com. First responders have always been near and dear to the Blade & Timber axe throwing team. Before opening Blade & Timber, co-founder Ryan Henrich served his community as a firefighter alongside Lt. Mike Wells with the Lenexa Fire Department.
