Questions asked frequently
FAQ’s
How much will it cost?
A 90-minute axe throwing reservation at Blade & Timber Axe Throwing in Austin is $28 per person.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we have a $112 (or 4 person) minimum for reserving a lane. While you can throw solo during these times, you will be charged the weekend minimum price. Food, beverage and merchandise does not count toward the minimum.
How do I reserve a lane?
You can reserve lanes online at any time or by way of walk-in during regular business hours.
Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to availability. While we always try to accommodate, walk-in guests may experience long wait times due to pre-reserved, online reservations or private events.
Where can I find parking?
Is Axe Throwing Safe?
Yes! We have taught thousands of guests how to successfully and safely throw an axe for more than 3 years. In fact, we've helped establish industry standards across the nation!
We're committed to making the learning process easy and fun with the help of our Axe Safety-Certified coaches. Every group will receive one-on-one training before you ever pick up an axe.
We've worked hard to increase the accessibility and safety of axe throwing, teaching blind, deaf and differently-abled guests how to nail the bullseye! Email us at hello@bladeandtimber.com if you have any questions.
Will there be training?
Our certified coaches will always demonstrate proper safety and axe throwing techniques during your first few throws. Coaches are present throughout the experience for questions and to help you master your bullseye.
What should I wear?
You absolutely MUST wear closed-toe shoes. Other than that, we encourage folks to dress comfortably. Also, we love flannel.
Can children participate?
Children 10 and older are allowed to join in! But minors (under 18 years old) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Blade & Timber provides a smaller axe size when needed to help you master the bullseye!
If we doubt the capabilities of a minor to safely throw an axe, our coaches will not allow the minor to participate.
What are your store hours?
Check our Locations page for each store's regular business hours. We could potentially open by appointment anytime, just email hello@bladeandtimber.com
Can I rent the place OR HOST AN EVENT?
Absolutely! We offer both full and partial facility rentals with the ability to add on food and beverage options that meet your group's needs. Fill out our Group Event Request Form to learn more.
Can I bring my own axe?
Our lawyers tell us that we cannot allow you to throw your own axe. Sorry!
